Cleaning Tin Tiles Is Easy

Sometimes a cleaning is all it needs – cleaning your Tin Tiles on the ceiling might be a tad bit messy but it is not all that difficult. Tin tiles on the ceiling, just like any type of ceiling, do need to be cleaned now and then. But don’t fret, as we said, it’s easy. cleaning tin ceiling tiles(Just try to smile a bit more than our cleaning lady over there.)

If you are moving into a house with old tin tiles that are covered with layers of dust, you will need to do a good first cleaning of the tin tiles. First all you have to do is use a broom to sweep dust off of the tin tiles on your ceiling. Yep, that’s right, time to sweep the ceiling! Second, you will want to get a bucket with warm water and add a cap full of a mild laundry detergent to it. You could also use dish soap if you would like. Finally, take a rag mop, damp with the soap and water to the ceiling and mop away. If you have new tin tiles on your ceiling, or once you have cleaned up those old tin tiles, you clean them with the same method, but it won’t take nearly as long.

Keep in mind that dirt and dust will be falling from the tin tiles up on your ceiling as you stand below them with the broom. It might be a good idea to wear goggles to protect you eyes. If the tin tiles are especially dirty, you may even want to wear a mask to cover your nose and mouth. After all of that dust falls you will need to sweep or vacuum it up at some point. You might as well clean up the floor before mopping the tin tiles so you don’t risk stirring up that dust and dirt. Also, if you have a carpet, it would be a good idea to lay down sheets of painters plastic to catch the dust that falls from your tin tile ceiling.
